Life's Little Roadblocks

Just wanted to say sorry I haven't been getting any new svg patterns out. We're kindof in the middle of a family crisis.
My youngest daughter is having difficulties in school and we just found out today that she had to have her schedule completely changed. Which didn't settle too well with her. She has got herself convinced she doesn't want to go to school anymore. Her world has come crashing down on her. So as soon as we get the chaos calmed down I should be able to work on some new things.

Face Painting

Our church is having a Youth Kickoff tonight and I decided that we would have a picture scavenger hunt. I made a list of things the kids had to get pictures of and on the list I added a painted pumpkin. You see pumpkins all over the place, but a painted pumpkin is hard to come by. So I took on the task of painting a pumpkin. This wasn't a difficult task for me because in past years I have painted faces on pumpkins. For one, it makes the pumpkin last longer, and two, because I just love the look of painted faces on pumpkins. I thought he turned out so cute I decided to share him with my blogger friends.

Custom Order

After going out for breakfast for my birthday and doing a little shopping I came home and started working on a custom order. I don't normally like doing custom orders, but I think they are starting to grow on me. A lady asked if I could create a layout for a photo she had of her child holding a bunny. As soon as I saw the photo I knew just how I wanted the layout to look. So I got to work and started creating. This is the layout I came up with for the photo.


As you can see it is not the usual techniques I normally use. There are no cutesy characters and there are prima flowers (which I have tons of but rarely use). I really hope she likes it, but even if she doesn't I think it turned out perfect. And if she decides not to buy it, I always have ebay to fall back on.

New Layout to Share

After a week of no blogging I figured I need to find time to update. So while I'm sitting here watching Biggest Loser (one of my favorite reality shows.) I have been working on a new svg and png. I have been so busy with life.
Tomorrow I have family coming out. My parents are coming to visit plus bring up some patio furniture. I am so excited. We have recently had a back patio put in and couldn't find any furniture for it since they are out of season. Well my parents wanted to get rid of their patio furniture so they could buy some new furniture for their deck, so they are giving me their old set, which is still in very good shape.

Free Witch's Cauldron svg pattern and png

I have been so busy today. First I had an eye exam, the doctor told me to enjoy the next few years I have not having to wear glasses, because she said with in the next few years I will probably need them. And I quote, "Almost everyone after they turn 40 needs glasses". Then I was going to go grocery shopping, but then my daughter came home from school, sick. Then I had to make her a doctor's appointment. Took her to the doctor, then the doctor had us go to the hospital so my daughter could get some blood work done. So we did that. Then had to go get her prescription filled. Then I had to fix supper, Then drive around with my soon to be 16 year old because she needs 50 hours of driving before she can get her driver's license.

But I did manage to get a freebie made for today and here it is. A witch's cauldron. Great to use on any Halloween layout or handmade card.
