We had to stay home from church this morning. My little guy was diagnosed with strep yesterday so we decided not to share.
So this morning while he is on the couch watching tv I was in my craft space being creative.
I created this piece by drawing a face on my page. Then using ColourCraft Brusho Crystal Colour watercolor powders I splashed some water on my journal then sprinkled color and using a brush and heat gun I spread the paint around.
Then I inked up some of my mixed media Unity stamps and added a little distressing to my page.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit my blog. If you would please take a moment and let me know what you think.
Have a great day!!
Welcome to my final day of being a GIU Gal. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed sharing my projects with you this week. For my fifth and final project I would like to share with you my Distressed Butterfly Card. I LOVE distressing my paper when making cards.
For this card I used white cardstock for the card base. Then I reached into my scrap stash and pulled out some matching aqua blue papers. I then used my distressing tool to ruff up the edges. Then I used the leafed paper stamp from A Love Beyond Measure collection. Stamped it onto white paper, distressed the image then punched out the holes to make it look like it was ripped out of a notebook. Then I stamped the butterfly from Keep Going Anyway
onto pattern paper and colored it with Tombow Markers using a water brush.
I hope you enjoyed my week of Unity Projects. Thanks so much for stopping by each day.

I can't believe it is Day 4 of being a GIU Gal. I am glad you stopped by today. Today's project is just a simple, sweet little card. I created this card using Kraft cardstock. I stamped the ADORABLE elephant image from the Cuddlebug Elephant kit
Then I colored the elephant using Prismacolor Color Pencils. I then used Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Brush Pen to add a little shimmer to the ears and heart on the sentiment.
I then distressed the edge of the card and sentiment tag with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. Hope my little card brought you a little happiness today.

Good Morning!! Welcome back to my blog. Here we are at Day 3 of my GIU Blog Posts. For today I would like to share this mixed media card I created. Mixed Media is one of my newest passions. I love the creative, messy process of designing a mixed media project. For this card I used Dylusions paints for the background, layering Bubble Gum Pink, Fresh Lime, and Squeezed Orange. I then used the circle stamp from the You Can Do It collection. I masked the scribbles outside the circle because all I wanted was the circle. I used the rose from Rebuild Your Life. I stamped the image on white cardstock then stamped over the flowers with the sentiment from She Never Says Never. Then I used Tombow markers to color in the flowers. Then I distressed the edges with black Stayz On Ink.
Then I used the Enjoy Every Moment sentiment from I Am Who I Am
Thanks for visiting my blog today. Hope you enjoyed my project.

Hi Unity Friends. Welcome back to my Day 2 GIU post.
For today's post I would like to share a little gift set I created.
This set included a mini journal, a matching tag, and some matching tabs.
I created the journal using the small heart from Hello Beautiful
For the tag I used the larger heart from I Am Who I Am
I just love creating these mini journals. I am always doodling and they give me a nice little canvas to keep all my drawings together.

Good Morning Unity friends. Welcome to my GIU Day 1 post.
I am so honored to be able to share my work with you this week.
I love how easy it is to work with Unity Stamps and they always produce a great quality stamped image.
For my very first GIU project I created a card using the adorable bunny stamp from the
followed the Jennifer McGuire Ink video showing the technique for the
cloud background. I think it makes a very cute background for these
I didn't have a sun stamp so I drew a sun, cut it out, inked it up, then added it to my card.
stamped the bunny image on white cardstock then used tombow markers to
add color to them. Then I cut them out and added pop dots to them for a
I then took the "I Need a Hug" sentiment and masked the I to make the sentiment read "Need a Hug"
